ISOL-8 Slave One
In larger systems, which use a Sequence or AV8 to control racks of electronics, it is often necessary to power products remotely, such as active speakers, subs, screens or projectors, and it may be difficult to bring their power cables back to the control rack.
The Slave One is a small, single channel slave unit, up to four of which can be controlled by the low voltage slave output on a Sequence or AV8. This increases the number of sequentially controlled channels from eight up to twelve. Each Slave One has a small dip switch that can assign it to a specific channel.
The advantages of this approach are:
- The remote equipment can be supplied with local power and controlled by the Sequence or AV8 using a small control cable.
- The under and over voltage protection afforded by the Sequence or AV8 is also carried over to the outputs of the Slave One, so even the remotely powered products are protected.
The "Slave Input" is a 5 pin XLR chassis socket and a loop through "Slave out" is provided to daisy-chain to other units.
