The familiar striking enclosure has got smaller and lighter and houses a new filter topology. This avoids the need for an isolation transformer, lowering the load's loop impedance dramatically.
Current hungry components such as power amplifiers create the highest energy levels of mains borne noise in a system. Isolating them from the rest of the system with a Qube³ can provide enormous benefits.
Firstly the amplifier has clean mains to operate at maximum performance. Secondly the large quantity of noise generated by the amplifier's power supply is prevented from contaminating the rest of the system. The new Qube³ achieves this with disarming effectiveness.
Input is by 32A Neutrik latching connector via a high quality double pole breaker. Huge custom air core copper foil inductors and silver plated PTFE insulated wire wound chokes form the core of the powerful filter, which also guards against surges and spikes. The circuit and chassis materials are carefully specified for minimum energy storage, allowing delivery of maximum dynamic expression and impact.
Capable of passing huge peak currents, it frees amplifiers from the dynamic compression that can plague other conditioners.
